Hi friends! It's BowserPuma again. I have some exciting announcements for you today!

The May Wolf Game Jam voting concluded last night and the results are in. I'm thrilled to announce that Before You Depart has claimed first place for all three categories: story, presentation, and creativity!

I'd like to thank everybody who took some time to read our story and leave it a rating on the game jam. We couldn't have done this without you 💖. We were in it to win it, and we're all incredibly proud of ourselves and each other for creating a VN that has touched so many people.

Now, let's talk about the future of BYD. This story is 100% complete, but there are a few things we want to update for a build 1.1:

• Small bug fixes.
• Spelling & grammar fixes.
• Integration of Portuguese translation.
• Accessibility upgrades.
• A few other quality-of-life updates.

There isn't a projected date for version 1.1 to be released. We're all busy working on our main projects, so it may take some time. Our 1.0 build is good enough to stand on its own, so we're not trying to rush.

Separate from the Build 1.1, we also have another announcement. We will be releasing the Before You Depart original sound track here on itch! We're working on putting the final touches on everything, then we'll release it as a separate project under the Team Lycoris itch page.

Some of you may be wondering if we'll team up for any future projects. As of now, it's up in the air. We all enjoyed working with each other and are thrilled with BYD, but there aren't any concrete plans to start developing a new project. We need a breather after all that hard work! Perhaps if another furry VN game jam were to come up in the future, we'll combine our forces again.
